Service Engine Light08 Sep 2006 14:31 GMT1
I am reposting this because I mistyped the Error Code from my Diagnostic
Tool. The correct error code is P0440.
Service Engine light has come on several times, each time I get a P0440(
generic emissions) Code.
Startup Noise07 Sep 2006 21:39 GMT1
New to this group.  My 2000 GMC 2500 4x4 just started making a noise at
startup, very much like the older ABS groan noise common in early '90s
Chevys.  The groan occurs within 10-15 sec after startup, not always,
whether moving or not and seems to come from the rear.  Could this be
Oil Filter Replacement for PF 5907 Sep 2006 21:28 GMT2
Top of the morning,
I usually buy oil filters 5 at a time.  Time to change the oil and used the
last PF-59.  Seems that GM has decided that I should use the PF-46 no and it
is smaller than the 59.  Did all of you Master Mechanics start using the 46

Got a problem,
Got a 92 Silverado that was in a front end collision.  Since the collision happened it wont start. I
have spark and if I pour some gas down the TBI it starts right up.  My problem seems to be the
injectors aren't spraying any fuel.  If I pull the plugs of the ...

Shocks for 2000 silverado z71 flareside07 Sep 2006 12:24 GMT11
At 100K miles, original shocks I think (I'm not original owner). Looking
for a recommendation. Rancho? Edelbrock? I want top of the line for this
truck but do not want double tubes, frame mods, in cab adjustable. Just
bolt on and decent. This truck does play in the dirt a little ...
65 Chevy van07 Sep 2006 05:49 GMT1
Greetings all,
I could not find a NG for chevy vans so I thought I would try you guys
out.  My wife has inherited a 65 Chevy van from her father.  It is certainly
a diamond in the rust, but the top 3/4 still seems to be keeping most of the
Turn signals stopped working07 Sep 2006 03:39 GMT1
Hey guys,
I went away for a month and when I came back I started my 1997 S10
and the turn signals don't work. The green signals on the dash don't
turn on and as well as the blinker bulbs outside. I thought it might be
81 305 - smoking07 Sep 2006 03:29 GMT4
I have a well used 81 Blazer w/ a 305 motor.  The engine smokes quite a
bit, and the smoke doesn't change based on temperature of the motor, or
load.   The smell isn't that bad, but it 'burns' your eyes in a garage.
The smoke is a bluish gray in color

1999 Blazer 4x4 Problem06 Sep 2006 22:54 GMT5
I have a Blazer that refuses to shift into 4x4 when it is cold outside.
During the summer, it shifts perfectly fine. Because of this fact, I'm
thinking it is the shift motor. I would love to pull the code on it,
but my scan tool will not read ABS or 4x4 codes, only a Tech2 will do
Engine Surge06 Sep 2006 22:46 GMT3
Idle is only sligtly rough, but Engine surges when throttle is opened
slightly. This happens when driving slow and steady with engine warm. I
can duplicate with air cleaner off and hand open throttle. Spray from
both injectors is even fan and can be seen to increase and decrease. No
