'96 Yukon 4L60E06 Oct 2006 23:16 GMT21
I have a '96 Yukon with a 4L60E with 240,000 miles.  I am not the original
owner so I don't know if the transmission is original or rebuilt.  I have
owned it for 75,000 miles so the transmission has at least that many.  I do
regular filter and fluid changes every 30,000 miles.
keyfob question on 99 burb06 Oct 2006 19:55 GMT2
This is kind of a two fold question.
1) Is there a way to increase the distance capability of my factory keyfob?
It seems I have to be withing 5-15' of the vehicle in order for it to work
right.  Even then at times it kind of sucks.  I have put a new battery in
92 Silverado Fog Lights06 Oct 2006 17:52 GMT2
We purchased a 92 Silverado with after-market fog lights in the air scoop.
The wires had been cut about a foot below the switch on the dash and with
only about 4 inches of wire showing above each light.  There was no
paperwork in the truck showing what goes to what.  Any ideas on ...

2002 Suburban - Strange Power Steering Problem and Another Question06 Oct 2006 03:07 GMT7
I bought a used 2002 Suburban 4x4 about 2 months ago.  It has 60K miles,
well maintained by dealer, always garaged, never off road, never used to
tow anything, so I hoped I was getting a vehicle that would be reliable
for a few years.  Starting to seriously wonder about that.
PING STEVE: Kleen Screen06 Oct 2006 00:48 GMT5
Hey steve.. I finally got the EGR valve off the Blazer... what a PITA!
Had to take off the Air warmer/filter assembly and use a LONG skinny 1/4" socket
extension from the fan to reach the bolts... what a wonderful place Chevy picked
to put the serpentine belt tensioner!
4x4 gas mileage question05 Oct 2006 22:51 GMT22
If you have a 4x4 but do not have it locked in. Would you get the same
mileage on that truck if it was 2x2 only?
Would a 4x4 not locked in truck get the same gas mileage as a 2x2 only
truck.

I bought a 1998 Jimmy from my company (has 180,000 mi). It was used in
a very dusty/dirty environment. One night after turning it off, the guy
tried to start it up again and would not start. He said there was dust
caked in the air filter and dust around the TB. Could this dust have
Suburban Air04 Oct 2006 19:31 GMT10
Recently the front air on my 1999 Suburban doesn't seem to be blowing very
cold.  The rear air feels fine.  What do I need to check??
I'm guessing the compressor is fine, if the rear is blowing and that freon
level should be good as well.  It does seem like it had been cycling a ...
