The emisions sticker says to disconnect the timing plug. They said not
to disconnect the 4 wire connector on the distibutor but did not say
where thie timming plug is. Does anyone know where it is located?

I have a 1985 chevy c 10 with a 350 engine in it. the truck idles fine
but when i tromp it done it stalls out. I noticed after taking the air
cleaner off the the butterfly valve in the front of the carb is stuck
wide open. the linkage goes straight down and back to a little vacume.

I couldn't start my truck so I changed out the Cap, which had a crack
in it, changed the rotor.  No luck.  then i switched the ignition
module with an 88 GMC 5.7 that I have, but no luck.  Finally I switched
out the coil with the same truck.  Then it started right up, ran for

Ok, I've removed the waterpump, drained the coolant, and installed a
new thermostat. My only problem is that the gaskets that were on the
waterpump are securely glued to the block still. What's the best way to
remove these without having to use some sort of scraper and risk

My wife recently wrecked our 2001 Tahoe.

I have a 1997 Gmc Jimmy with 125,000 miles. It was fine until
yesterday, i had went to work and stopped at the store on the way home.
When i came out of the store, the check engine soon light came

Is it the break wear indicators? Have 100k and haven't changed break
pads yet (1st Silverado model with all 4 wheels with disk breaks).
When driving slowly with window down I can hear the squeaking. When I
apply breaks I hear nothing. When I drive fast I hear nothing.

I have a  trans temp switch that i purchased from LMC, but i cant find
the damn thing, its not shown in my manuals, and i cant see it anywhere.

The 4WD drive always worked before. Now when I press the button to
engage 4WD High you can hear something click over (Like it's working),
but front wheels don't turn. If I switch it to 4WD Low the rear tires
lock in at lower gear but still nothing from front wheels. I was told
