My last couple of new trucks have included transmission temp guages.  What

Consumer Reports: Asian Cars Better27 Feb 2008 12:10 GMT53
This is an article from 2005... and it demonstrates two things...
1. American Car Companies have been forced to start making more reliable
cars in this decade because American consumers by and large ditched the "buy
American even if it sucks" motto in the trash.

Ok, So I need to replace the fuel pressure regulator on my 89 4.3 s10
4x4. I got my hands on good condition tbi unit with 1 bad injector.
Out of the two units I want to put together the best unit I can.  The

Vibrating Fuel Gauge - WTF?27 Feb 2008 00:09 GMT1
Two days ago the fuel gauge on my 99 OBS Tahoe started vibrating with the
key on. I mean oscillating back and forth about 10% of the range at a rate
similar to or faster than an A/C motor. I thought my vision was blurred at
first...but the other gauges are steady.
2006 Chevy Colorado26 Feb 2008 16:09 GMT4
I recently bought a new 2006 Chevy Colorado with 80 miles on it. Since I
have had it, it has vibrated in the rear of the truck. I've had the tires
balanced twice which has not worked. The vibration is a low speed vibration,
the worst at 52 mph. The whole bed shakes continuously. ...

Vortec 4.3L V-6 -- Opinions Wanted.25 Feb 2008 22:27 GMT57
It always bothers me to see the post of yet another victim of GM's
poorly designed 4.3 Vortec V-6. (See the post entitled "99066F: Is this
GM recall real??") With the exception of the GM passenger car diesels, I
feel that the 4.3L Vortec V-6 is possibly the biggest lemon that any
Oil Pressure flunctuating??25 Feb 2008 21:22 GMT9
1989 C1500 350 auto, 143k miles.  It runs good, nothing strange,
except the oil pressure gauge jumps around at idle.  Running down the
road it sits at a steady indicated 45psi, but at idle it's erractic.
You'd think there was a loose wire that's making contact most of the

Smokey Duramax aka "Durtymax"24 Feb 2008 19:46 GMT1
My 03 GMC Durtymax 2500 4X4 Extended Cab smokes like a bonfire with
wet grass at idle.  It cleans up at cruise and gets great mileage
otherwise. But let it idle for a few minutes and you may think the
swat team is smoking out a bad guy.  Anyone ever heard of this?  If so
4l80E seperate aftermarket  wiring/computer24 Feb 2008 04:50 GMT1
Does anyone know if GM sells a after market wiring harness to manage the
4L80e transmission ?.. I have heard to just find a diesel 6.5 and grab the
wiring and computer,, Sounds like a waste of time though.. I'd rather buy an
after maket system that I can hook up cleanly inn my 85 ...
1998 Chevy Suburban K2500 - Front Wheel Stud questions23 Feb 2008 06:24 GMT3
I have a 1998 Chevy Suburban K2500 4x4 7.4L engine (gas) that I am
experiencing some of the well documented brake issues.  I need to remove the
front rotors (warped again) and have a couple of questions that are not
addressed in the service manual.
