Faulty Tach Reading22 Feb 2008 06:52 GMT3
Having posted here before on Chevy truck issues, I was hoping I could get
some information regarding my 2004 Chevy Impala.  The other night I was
traveling on the interstate at about 70 MPH.  The tach was reading about
2100 RPM.  A short while later I noticed that the indicator ...

Front end alignment21 Feb 2008 03:44 GMT4
Well, I think I might finally get a front end alignment.  My 99 Silverado,
4x4, 5.3L and 4L60E doesn't shimmy, shake, vibrate, or make any noises.  The
tires wear evenly and my Michelin LTX's got way over 100k miles.  My only
problem in 4 years of driving it, has a slight pull to ...

better??
Occasional Poor Diesel Idling20 Feb 2008 05:26 GMT1
My truck is a 2005 with the Duramax Diesel & 6sp manual.  Normally, it
idles about 750rpm.  Occasionally, the idle speed will drop to 675 rpm
or so and the engine will shake terribly.  Lightly depressing the
accelerator will return things to normal.  Fuel economy is great for
sudden loss of Power S-1019 Feb 2008 23:08 GMT15
I have a isuzu hombre which is actually a chevy s-10

Today I suddenly have no real power from my engine. When I left home for
about a 40 mile round trip everything was fine. On my way back
98 S10 shake19 Feb 2008 02:46 GMT4
About 55 to 65 mph my s10 will shake like  the wheels need balance.
All have been changed, balanced, etc.  Tires changed.
U joints on both shafts  seems to be tight.  The little square balance tab
is still on shaft.
02 silverado bad front wheel bearing?19 Feb 2008 01:59 GMT2
I have a 2002 silverado 4wd and I am getting a rough scraping or
grinding noise from the front right wheel. Not the brakes. This
happens in 2 and 4wd and is much louder when doing a left turn or lane
change to the left . What is this, a bad wheel bearing? I raised the
TBI spacer? 89 4.319 Feb 2008 01:58 GMT9
Ok, So I need to replace the gasket between my TBI and the engine. It
has a small leak and is sucking air in, which gives a terrible hiss as
well as a high idle.(found this out when I was getting my cat looked
at) I have done some research and the jury still seems to be mixed on
1984 GMC Sierra 6.2 Needs Alternator - But Which One?19 Feb 2008 01:55 GMT18
I've been putting up with my '84 Sierra's lackluster alternator performance
for a long time now. Unless driven very regularly, it would have dead
batteries. Now it doesn't even really charge them when driven or run...the
output starts out strong after starting (14.5 volts) but soon ...

2001 Chevy Silverado: When in 4wd only one (1) front and one (1) [opposite
side] wheel engages for traction. Is this normal / typical? If not, what

Looking at buying a 99 chev, 5.3, ext cab, 4x4, 180,000kms (105,000ish
miles)
Any problems in these earlier models that were solved later in the 2000
models, or are they just every bit as good?
