| Brakes | 30 Mar 2008 14:22 GMT | 2 |
New to this group, but have participated in other NGs over the years. Nice to see good discussions here. I have inherited a 1992 Shasta Class C motorhome that sits on a Chevy 30 1-ton van dual rear chassis, about 50K miles on it and it was used a few

Just got in my truck to head home from work and both the ABS light and the Parking Brake light were lit solid. No fluid leaking and pedal action was fine. Tested it a little in front of the office and drove home with one foot on the parking brake.

| GMC Yukon V8/V4 mileage | 28 Mar 2008 02:56 GMT | 16 |
I recently noticed something on my 07 Yukon. When you're accelerating or climbing even the mildest grade it's always in V-8 mode. When coasting it switches to V-4 mode. So far, so good, just like the manual says. When you stop and idle, which happens to be the time you

I'm trying to fix a starting problem with a 94 Suburban K1500. I was checking a fuse next to the fuel pump relay and it fell out into a crevice among the exhaust header. The problem is that I don't know what the fuse is for or what size it is.

| 93 Suburban 350 w distributor whine or buzzing noise | 25 Mar 2008 20:16 GMT | 1 |
I have an intermittent noise like a whine coming from my distributor I believe. The best way to describe it is it sounds like the sound of a failing old mechanical speedometer - kind of a buzz/whine. I checked the play in the distributor shaft today as I was cleaning the rotor &

| Transmission problem. | 24 Mar 2008 07:11 GMT | 1 |
The transmission is acting up on my '93 Chevy 3/4 ton 2 w/d pickup. It's a 4L80E with a 6.5 turbodiesel. I noticed it would be in 2nd gear from a dead stop instead of 1st. Also, it won't shift into 4th. The TCC is working in 3rd. Also, if I put the gear selector in 1st and ...

| Lead acid battery question | 22 Mar 2008 05:42 GMT | 5 |
92 Astro, but that doesn't really matter for this question. Do car batteries get so drained from some tiny short that they can never take a charge again? We're not talking about a cheap or old battery, it's a 7 year Autolite and it's brand new (OK, one week old).

| Ignition Key and Start Problem | 17 Mar 2008 21:09 GMT | 7 |
I've read a few posts about stuck ignition keys, and some of them hint that this may relate to starting problems. I don't understand enough about what goes on in the ignition switch to figure this out, so I would be grateful if someone could explain it to me.

| Throttle Body Deposits? | 17 Mar 2008 20:09 GMT | 11 |
I don't see a newsgroups available for Chevy cars. I have posted here before and frequently read items from this newsgroup. I'm looking for a "second opinion" about a dealer's diagnosis. I took my '04 Impala (3800 V-6) to the dealer this morning due to a faulty tach reading. ...
