tire opinion31 Aug 2008 00:48 GMT17
My local tire place sent me a quote, and I'd like your opinion of the two
tires he quoted.  Which tire would be the better one.  I do a lot of highway
driving, including snow covered highways.
We can get for you the following in the 205/75Rx15:
(91 Chevy K1500) Painting small strip behind top portion of door     molding where the top of the door meets the roof30 Aug 2008 19:14 GMT1
I'm hoping someone can offer some feedback on the following problem.
I have a 91 Chevy K1500 Pickup and there is a small strip behind the
top portion of the door molding (where the top portion of the door
meets the roof) that I cannot seem to get paint to stay on. I've
Haze on plastic headlight box lens 2003 TrailBlazer30 Aug 2008 19:04 GMT7
I don't understand why the passenger side headlight box lens decided
to develop a haze on the external surface while the driver side remained
crystal clear. If anyone can offer an explanation I would love to read it.
My guess is driving it through the same car wash over the years is
95 van tie rods30 Aug 2008 09:01 GMT4
Mechanic says I need two outer tie rod ends. I know passenger side is loose,
it wobbled while I was doing a pad slap. I've got the outer one loose from
the van, that was a bit of work.
Acetylene is good. Mapp gas is also useful.
'00 Blazer trans slipping in reverse30 Aug 2008 07:57 GMT3
Hi all, having a problem with my 2000 Blazer.  Put it into reverse to park
yesterday after driving about 20 miles and it just slipped, didn't even feel
like it tried to move.  Took 3 quarts of fluid to bring up to full mark, put

More Bass For Your Buck!29 Aug 2008 13:40 GMT6
Anyone need to crank up the bass on that new chevy truck?
That sound system that you bought along with the truck just ain't
gonna do it for you if its big bass you're after.
It's a pair of 10's that's what you're gonna need....Subwoofers
tow rods28 Aug 2008 13:12 GMT1
hey all..
any suggestion on a tow rod for the 2000 Cheverolet S10?  I'd like to be
able to tow any car without having to put in modifications to the cars.
Oh, yeah, need a suggestion on the tow hitch too.

Replace 92 GMC fullsize truck fuel pump: Cutting access panel27 Aug 2008 21:57 GMT7
I recently had to replace the fuel pump on my 92 GMC Yukon.  2 years
ago I replaced the fuel tank, and it was truly a miserable job.  Yeah,
should have replaced the pump then!
Newer vehicles sometimes have a access panel in the rear floor so the
Where is eveyone?26 Aug 2008 08:24 GMT12
Did gas prices go up and everyone got rid of their Chevy trucks in the
process?  Not a single message today.  Now there is one.   I will say thank
goodness I moved closer to work years ago.  Now only 2 miles away.  A full
tank of gas will last me around 2 weeks.  In 5 years I ...
R A P23 Aug 2008 13:59 GMT7
1998 Chevrolet Blazer. Four door, 4.3 with the LS package. Power everything.
For whatever reason, the RAP "Retained Accessory Power" is drawing more than
10 amps. All day, all night.
The fuse is 50 amps (five oh amps).
anti freeze leak22 Aug 2008 19:19 GMT1
Anti freeze was running out of our 1989 chevy 1500 4 wheel drive and
thought it was a blown hose but after buying one found out it was not
hose.  So assumining now it is water pump.  My question is ,  what
else could it be or is water pump the only thing that could have done
Catalytic Convert Replacement22 Aug 2008 14:36 GMT9
Somebody cut out one of my catalytic converters on my 99 4wd Suburban (also
on my Toyota PU). My concern is that an aftermarket (affordable)
replacement might have a significantly different resistance (backpressure)
than the OEM that they didn't get and cause vibration due to uneven
Tire size vs. gas mileage22 Aug 2008 09:09 GMT14
I've seen both sides of this argument, but am interested in what
folks here might have to say on the topic.  I've got a 2003
Silverado.  Stock tire size is 245/75/16.  If I go to a 265/75/16,
the tire diameter increases by about an inch giving me about 3%
