Hemi multi-displacement system22 Dec 2005 02:55 GMT2
Hey, guys!
Do you know -- from a technical standpoint -- why the SRT8 Hemis don't have
the cylinder shutoff feature?  I assume that some modifications they were
making for more power required them to disable it?
anybody have a Neon survive a broken timing belt?21 Dec 2005 23:49 GMT3
This is ... bizarre.  My daughter's '95 Neon (SOHC engine) broke its
timing belt just before Thanksgiving.  Finally got it to a state I
could do a compression test today...  and it looked good!  180-200 PSI
in all four cylinders.  So I'm curious:  has anybody else ever seen
1998 Stratus. Binding door slider on driver's door21 Dec 2005 22:26 GMT4
On my 1998 Stratus, there is a black bar that slides inside the door.
It is located between the hinges.
This bar binds and makes a *popping* sound as it slides. I have tried
to lubricate it at the point that it slides into the door, but it
1996-2000 3.0L belt juming problem fixed!21 Dec 2005 17:27 GMT6
If you have a 96-2000 chrysler minivan with the 3.0L engine with serpentine
belt problems, then I have just the fix.  The Goodyear 49204K belt kit.
This kit fixes the serpentine belt problem once and for all.
2006 Crossfire21 Dec 2005 01:56 GMT1
Anyone know why they are waiting till January to release the 2006 Crossfire.
Is it because of massive changes or what.
An Uncanny Coincidence?20 Dec 2005 13:08 GMT22
Just recently had some repair work done on a 2000 Chrysler T&C minivan - 70K
miles
The oil pick-up tube was clogged with "debris", the shop guy hesitated to
say WHAT it was.
GM need not go bankcrupt20 Dec 2005 09:30 GMT5
1.  Get rid of low profile tires that make cars look like they're riding on
the rims.
2.  Fire the whole eniggereering department, hire a thousand unemployed
Russian aerospace engineers and outdo the Japs by designing the first
1992 Acclaim Valve Cover Removal20 Dec 2005 07:27 GMT7
I am currently attempting my first real under-the-hood repair, changing the
ruptured valve cover gasket on my 1992 4-cylinder acclaim.  However, I'm
having a devil of a time removing the valve cover.  I removed the cowling on
the left hand side of the engine, and the bolts around ...
Rear Wheel Bearings - 1993 T&C Van20 Dec 2005 06:30 GMT6
Greetings;
What is the proper pre-load for rear wheel bearings on a 1993 T&V Van?
Should there be any play after it is assembled?
One book I read said tighten to 14 ft-lb, then back off and set the

Trans clunk in 01 PT20 Dec 2005 01:22 GMT11
Yesterday I had my trans serviced, drained and a new filter.  Today there's
a clunk when I brake and it shifts down from 2nd to 1st.  They said to bring
it in tomorrow and they'd replace the filter.  Could it be something
else????
Neon gauge cluster replacement19 Dec 2005 22:53 GMT4
Does anyone know how difficult it is to replace the gauge cluster in a
2002 Neon?  There is one for sale locally that is in great shape, but is
the very entry level model and lacks even a tachometer.  They shouldn't
even let car makers sell a stick shift without a tach!  :-)

Mobil 1 at 5k intervals from start.  Doesn't use between changes.
Crumpled oil pan at 200k, and dealt with it.  At 220k, oil pressure
idiot light started flashing (and ringing) now and then while at stop
in drive.  Move to neutral, flicked off.  Had pan and pump replaced,
