Transmission Swap on a T&C??15 Apr 2007 06:38 GMT5
Hey guys, I posted a while back about my transmission woes and you were all
really helpful, so I'm back..
At this point I am resigned to the fact that the tranny needs a major
rebuild or replace. A rebuild and/or replace with a factory rebuild are not

PY CRUISER REAR WINDOW WIPER QUESTION14 Apr 2007 12:35 GMT3

top of the window and leaving the top of the glass unwiped??  i got
the correct wiper arm/blade installed and it's too long for the
window.. Is there a smaller blade available? I mean one that is
1996 Dodge Avenger - starting problem question.....?14 Apr 2007 03:36 GMT2
My son has had a 1996 Dodge Avenger for a year now, it's been a good
running car except for a starter problem a few months back we fixed
quick.  He takes good care of it with oil and filter changes and all
the normal stuff and he's a very low key driver.  A week ago he pulled
94 Caravan 3.8L - Timing or Rod Knock?12 Apr 2007 18:29 GMT1
I think it's rod knock and the engine is toast, but neighbor suggested it
might be timing.  So I went about trying to verify the mechanical timing was
correct.
My understanding is that there are sensors on both the flywheel and cam, but
Fuel Gauge Problem @ 93000 miles12 Apr 2007 03:30 GMT1
Suddenly,my 2001 Chrysler Voyager's fuel gauge will not go lower than
half full.  My corner mechanic said it could be the gauge or something
(sender?) in the tank. Tracking it down or fixing it sounds $$$?  I
don't mind keep track of my mileage, but my wife wants a working gas
1998 Town & Country parts interchange?12 Apr 2007 02:43 GMT1
I recently purchased a 98 T&C with 112k miles.  It's got some dents &
dings, but is a one owner and has all maintainence records.  I am planning
to go yarding for the first time in several years, and I'm not really up on
this generation of vans.  I'm also not having a lot of luck ...
why use timing belt?11 Apr 2007 11:12 GMT5
Lowest cost/highest profit is what drives corporations. It's cheaper
to use a belt than a chain, it will last beyond the warranty period,
and most (not all) people who buy new cars will trade it in for
another new car before the timing belt becomes an issue. People who

Static Electricity11 Apr 2007 02:33 GMT10
Everytime I drive my 02 Intrepid I get shocked when I exit the car. This is
very annoying. Does anyone know how I can stop being shocked everytime I
drive the car?
"Recent" Minivan Transmission Performance?  Opinions wanted --10 Apr 2007 19:01 GMT4
I've got a good friend who's looking at used minivans, particularly
those falling under the DC umbrella....since they are generally
thousands less in price compared to the premium Asian brands, and
still more affordable than other domestic brands.  Realistically,
99 Dodge Stratus Road Noise..Tires or Bearings?10 Apr 2007 11:13 GMT4
One of our cars is a 99 Stratus with 86K miles.  A few weeks ago, my car was
in the shop for the timing belt replacement and I had my wife drive me over
to the shop in this car.  I noticed a pretty loud whirring noise coming from
the rear of the car that increased/decreased with ...
Oil filter question10 Apr 2007 03:47 GMT17
Is it alright to use a filter that fits, but is larger, for a Dodge Caravan
with 3.8L engine, such as the PH8A vs the PH16. A friend has switched to the
larger filter on the basis it will clean better or longer between changes,
he uses synthetic oil and runs longer than the ...
haynes or chiltons for 2000 Grand Voyager10 Apr 2007 00:28 GMT3
I am pulling the tranny in my 2000 GV and was wondering if it would be
worthwhile to purchase a Haynes or Chiltons manual?  Do any of these
even show a R&R of a tranny?
thanks
Heater Fan High09 Apr 2007 17:08 GMT1
My 2001 Chrysler voyager's heater fan will only work on HIGH. From
past posts it appears to be a resistor problem. Where is it and what
can I do? Thanks.
