the bottom all the time i.e. zero or its not reading at ...
C4 Parcel Shelf27 Apr 2005 23:23 GMT1
Have any other C4 owners having problems with a rattle from the rear shelf
on a 5 door model ?
It appears that the shelf is not held in place by the rubber mounts on the
rear hatch and so enable it to bounce up and down on rough roads. It not

I noticed today that Haynes are now planning a winter 2005
release of the Berlingo manual.
They must have finally decided that it is worth their while.
C3 petrol cap lock.26 Apr 2005 23:12 GMT1
When I unlock the fuel cap the key remains in the lock which hangs from a
"convenient" hook on the filler cover. Very handy for a "snatch and grab"
artist so I don't do it now.

I have a Xsara HDI Estate and the boot lock randomly opens itself under all
conditions, when it is locked, moving and just starting.
It seems to be something in the fuse/relay box under the dashboard in the
front by the offside door as you can hear the relay clicking and moving the
Buying a C5...23 Apr 2005 10:10 GMT3
Any advice, what to look for, what to avoid, which model is best...
My only criteria:
Reasonable MPG (currently running a Volvo 940, gives 22mpg)
Reasonable handling (I loved my Xantia, is it comparable?)
MPH to KPH21 Apr 2005 11:08 GMT7
When I bought my C3 they changed the speedometer so that it read in mph
instead of kph. If I go abroad is there any way I can change it back to kph
myself.
I am thinking of going to Ireland.

Xantia heater smoke17 Apr 2005 11:02 GMT8
I've got a 1995 xantia TD and recently noticed that when turning the heater
on a brief puff of what looks like smoke comes through the vent under the
windscreen. It has a burnt sweet smell and takes ages to demist. Do you
have any idea what's going on and whether it will cost an arm ...

Does any-one know what might be wrong? I have recently bought a Xantia 1.9

something about loss of pressure in the hydraulics. Can any-one ...
