ok, hear's the deal. the truck idles rough, especially when cold, but doesn't have any trouble starting, and when i accelerate or rev the engine and then get off the gas the engine bogs and the rpm drops very low before returning to normal, sometimes even stalls. eats gas too, ...

We are thinking of getting a new Dakota Quad with the 4.7 V8, 5 speed auto tranny, and 3.91 rear end. Mostly for solo driving but also to tow our 23' trailer that weighs in around 3500 lbs wet and has a GVWR of 5000lbs.
