Just a little tip for everyone. Chrysler made code reading easy, just by
using your ignition switch. Turn the key on/off three times, last cycle
ending on, and the ecm/pcm/sbec or smec, depending on year/model goes into
diag mode. Pre 2001 cars will reveal codes with CES lamp. 2001 ...

1998 Ram 1500 , 318, 4x4, OD auto, 3.55:1 gears, SLT extended cab, 130K
miles, std. tires, all "stock". Trans fluid/filter changed every ~20-25K
miles, engine oil changed at 5K mile intervals, tune-ups at normal
intervals. Currently driven daily for commuting 80 miles around DC ...

She's got 108k on her. The noise starts low pitch with acceleration she gets

I have a '01 1500 4x4 quad cab with off road package with about 45K on
the truck.  I bought it used last year and it has Cooper discovery a/t
LT265/70R17 tires that are about worn out.  I am looking at new tires

2001 Dodge Ram 1500 5.9 engine Regular Cab Sport.  For the last few
months my coolant recovery tank empties.  My radiator stays full to the
top and there are no leaks present.  The truck has never overheated.  I
do not tow or abuse the vehicle.  When I do add coolant it is the 50/50

Is too much smoke in a diesel? I can't see it driving down the road, but my
truck sure gets dirty around the exhaust area.

My doors lock automatically at a preset speed. This drives me nuts. Mainly
because I forget to unlock when I walk around to get in the rear door on the
opposite side... Is there a way to disable this feature?
