I have a Dodge Motorhome with a 440-3 and a 727 Lodeflite transmission.
It is my understanding that the Lodeflight is internally a completely
different transmission than a Torqueflite 727.  The Lodeflite is beefed
up for heavy duty use.

I removed the axle on the passenger side to install new U-Joints, this all
went surprisingly well.  My problem is that I can't slide the axle back in
the way it came out.  It will go in to within an inch and a half ...

I have noticed the last few months that when my air conditioner is blowing
and i accelerate, the air quits blowing out of the vents and then returns
after i reach normal speed.  It happens on fresh air and recirculation
settings.  Has anyone got any suggestions?

The 5.9L motor in my 98 2500 quad cab has developed a lower end knock.
It's most noticeable on start for a few seconds but it's always there
just much quieter.  This truck has about 100K on it.  My thought is a
rod bearing but I guess it could be a main bearing.
