My 92 Dodge Ram 250 van will cut off all of the sudden. No warning , no
sputterin just cots off. Now if i let it sit for 5 or so minutes it

Hi there, when cold, the tranny slip between 1st and 2nd gear. Seams to pass
thru neutral before engage.
Sometimes when hot , but I can not  reproduce on demand.

It has 33+K miles on it. It looks to be in really good shape and drove

The pinion seal went bad and all the gear lube sprayed out.  I drove it
about 10 miles before discovering the lube had gone.  Hell of a howling
noise.  Replaced the pinion seal and lube, but howling noise is still there.
