Fianally recalled my truck14 Apr 2006 19:15 GMT14
Diesel automatics from '01 and up on are getting a software upgrade to
install an alarm to avoid reverse runaways... seems like all these guys that
commented on their trucks backing up after putting in park were right!!
Someone in here owes a bunch of them an apology... Think ...

What do I buy now?
After 390,000 kilometers I'm putting to rest my 1989 D50 RAM.
I bought it brand new in 1989 for $12,000 Canadian incl taxes.  That was the
best money I ever spent.

I have spent several days up in the boonys after fixing the 86ish ram

2002 Dakota Questions14 Apr 2006 00:59 GMT15
Hi, I'm new to the group but just sifted through about 12k

fix for stripped caliper bolts Dakota14 Apr 2006 00:15 GMT1
While doing the brakes on a 2001 Dakota 4x4 I found that one of the

I have a 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 Van, V8 5.2L. When I press the cruise

I checked the fuse boxes, both next to the  brake booster and the one
Could someone help?????13 Apr 2006 04:54 GMT8
The "heads" on my '99 Ram 1500 V6 are blown and would cost $1200 to
rebuild the engine. But my dad wants to buy the part online so he can
hire someone cheaper to do it. So where can I find the "heads" for my
truck? He says the gaskets are OK, just the heads are blown. He wasn't

Torque value for 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 Van, V8 5.2L12 Apr 2006 16:15 GMT3
The Haynes manual says its 30 Ft-Lbs and it looks a bit on the higher
side to me. Can anybody who has done the job before confirm it.
Also, I am assuming 30 Ft-Lbs is without applying some anti-seize.
