Hi NG,
I nicked the sidewall of a tire on a rock curb, seems tire is irrepairable.
So get a new one, most larger tire retailers will have them . ... wrong.

lights are staying on, checked fuses (ok), cycled the parking brake a few

I have a 1983 D150 that has a dead number 6 cyclinder I'v replaced the
intake manifold gasket fuel pump and carburetor and put new plugs,wires,
rotor button and distributor cap onn and checked for bad valve springs
and such.

On a '98 Dakota 3.9L Magnum, to change from a 3:55 to a 3:92 rear end
is it a matter of changing the ring and pinion gears, or does it
require a complete axle assembly? Driveshaft?

I have a 97 2500  4X4 diesel that has a rear wheel seal leaking. Dealer says
they have to pull both axels to fix. Is this true, also do you have to pull
all the rear brake parts off to pull the axles? Any comment appreciated.

Well, the Dak's in for repairs now.  Should have asked this earlier...
as I mentioned the other day, my truck (2001 Dodge Dakota 4x4) failed
Australian MVR inspection due to a "worn right tie rod".  Now, the
truck's not driving any different than it did before it headed out from

I installed an elec. fuel gauge (0-30) in march, everything was fine.
average fuel pre. was 12 at idle, 18 crusing at 1750 rpm, and would clime as
high as 24  with wot. coming home a week ago, I was accelerating onto the
interstate, when the fuel pressure jumped to 28psi egt was 680 ...

1st time dodge truck owner looking at 1st oil change. Dealer service writer
says any good dinosaur oil is fine. Guy that performed 1st "free with
purchase" oil change says you got to use Mopar oil and they it is synthetic
or synthetic blend.

Well, for those of you who knew I was in England, I'm not anymore.  My
truck and I are now in Australia.
Damn truck.  Got it back today, went through Australian inspection and
it FAILED!  He said the right tie rod was "worn" bad enough to be "not

I have a 1998 dodge dakota that has developed a water leak in the
right floor.  The carpet became soaked, so I removed it, let it dry
and cleaned it.  
I have checked everything I can think.  The windshield isn't leaking.
