| First "real" offroad experience | 06 Sep 2006 21:38 GMT | 8 |
.. for varying definitions of "offroad", I imagine. Sure, I've taken the Dak (2001 Dakota SLT) across a field, and have had an interesting time in some feet of snow. But I've never been four-wheeling it in the Australian Outback. Or any other outback, for

I want to be able to play music while the doors are open and the key in the igninion on accessory. Past autos had a button switch that could be forced closed one way or another while door was open. I assume there is a hidded switch/sensor somewhere. How do I over-ride

| Inner Fender skirt fasteners | 05 Sep 2006 23:27 GMT | 4 |
Has anyone come up with an alternative to the factory fasteners for the inner fender skirts on a 96 RAM 1500 (or similar)? The fasteners appear to be "one use only". I am trying to do some work around my truck and it would be simpler if I could remove the fender

| Lifter Question | 05 Sep 2006 22:43 GMT | 3 |
Does anyone know the approximate life of the Dodge 318 c.i Hyd lifter? My 1996 Ram 1500 4X2 has 288K miles on it, and I was wondering if I should replace the lifters. I am not having problems with it, however I would like to keep this truck on the road for as long as possible!

| Grand Caravan A/C intermittent problems | 03 Sep 2006 04:14 GMT | 1 |
My a/c when it works is blowing out very cold air (40*), but lately it has been working intermittently. The first time it went off was after driving it all day with a/c on. Then after sitting for 24 hours, I started it and the ac works and it works for a week before it quits ...

| '99 Ram 5.9L intake manifold gasket replacement - catastrofic failure prevention | 03 Sep 2006 03:27 GMT | 8 |
I've been advised that the 5.9L engine can suffer a catastrofic failure of the intake manifold gasket around 100K miles because when it fails it will suck all the oil out of the engine in a very short time (only a few minutes). It's apparently related to the intake manifold bolts ...

Still waiting on an explanation of how a Dodge V10 will retard it's ignition timing when running 87 octane fuel. While you're at it, we're all still waiting for you to explain how you fit a GM 8.25" R&P set into a Dodge 8.0" axle housing.

| V10 poor towing performance | 02 Sep 2006 16:48 GMT | 60 |
Help! Just added a 23' fifth wheel camper, pulling it with a 1999 2500 V10. The trailer is only about 6500 pounds, so I thought the V10 would have no problem towing it. The rig tows great on flat highway or small hills, but on bigger hills it slows down to about 50 and just wont go

| Red-r-Green? | 02 Sep 2006 09:28 GMT | 1 |
It's tune up time for the '03 CTD so I stopped by the dealer to pick up some coolant. Yeah, I know, everyone sells coolant cheaper than the dealer but I don't want to put the wrong stuff in. I told the parts guy what truck I had and he asks me "Red-r-Green?"
