Speedometer Cable location?11 Oct 2006 19:27 GMT3
I drive a 1992 Power Ram 150 4x4.  It has the 5.2L and auto tranny.  A
few days ago my speedometer stoped reading.  It works half of the time.
I read that the speed sensor on the rear axle controls the speedometer
and provides info for the ABS system.  Went to Autozone and the only
cooling drain vs. flush vs. chemical flush???11 Oct 2006 18:41 GMT8
I was assuming  a "cooling system flush"  was always a chemical flush,

all generally charge around $100 for a "flush", but when I asked the
shop that i chose to use  (a shell station)  if it's chem. flush he

Little squeak when reversing10 Oct 2006 21:55 GMT1
2001 Dakota SLT, 4x4
It's developed this little squeak, like something needs oil, when
backing.  It's not the brakes (or brake warning), I think, since the
noise isn't happening when I apply the brakes.  Generally, it squeaks

Today, I was a mechanic.09 Oct 2006 19:59 GMT2
Ok, to most of you this is no big deal, a real simple task.  But I
replaced my truck's ignition switch, by myself, without any help.  Hubby
didn't even drop by until the job was already done.
I build/repair/upgrade my own computers, and thus am somewhat
Are these axles compatible?09 Oct 2006 18:20 GMT4
I have a 1999 Dodge RAM 1500 4x4, extended cab, 360 c.i engine.

which was "confirmed" by dealer, which then did some "work", replaced
bearings, ruined my ABS speed sensor, all to no avail. Noises continue
Complaint about car mechanics?09 Oct 2006 14:49 GMT23
So, a mechanic did some work on my Dodge rear diff.
After that, a speed sensor on the rear diff failed on the same day.
They are now telling me that it is a purely random coincidence that it
failed on the sale day as they did work there. Asking me $156 to fix
