Having problems with transmission when I kickdown to pass. Transmission goes into passing gear, kicks back out, then will not shift further. Check engine light also comes on. Killing engine and restarting usually fixes the transmission shift problem but check engine stays on. ...

Yes, that rumor has arisen again. According to recent rumor, Diesel Power Magazine has the inside scoop on a diesel powered Dakota/Durango for '07 or '08. Cummins, 3.9L, V6, somewhere around 450 ft/lbs, mid20's mpg.

I was about 3 miles from home. The truck said check gauges. I saw that the battery gauge was over to 18 volts. Everything seemed ok so I kept going as I only had a couple of miles to home.
