94 Ram bad fuel pump - how to drain gas tank?16 Jan 2007 16:36 GMT17
I'm fairly certain my 94 Ram has either a bad fuel filter  and/or fuel
pump, and the gas gauge has been broken for over a year.
So I need to drain the gas to lower the tank, but  the engine won't
run, which means the the fuel pump won't run.

I'm going to replace the fuel filter on my 92' Ram 150.  The fuel
filter unlike most newer trucks is located outside of the tank.  Pretty
easy to get to.  Is there any pressure in the fuel lines at the filter
I should know about?

Only 25K on the truck but I've had to replace the ball joints already.

I have a 318, and when there is a little bit of load on the truck it
sounds like a old deisel, (pinging). I was told to change my distrib.
cap and wires. Just woundering if there is anyone who has had the same
troubles. Thanks

Truck runs fine and achieves 3rd gear at about 25 mph as the Haynes
Manual says it should. Problem is that it does this even if I have the
accelerator floored. I can't hold first gear past the normal point for
