I'm considering purchasing a 2004/1500 V6 with 27K miles. No power windows but it does have cruise control. The used car dealer wants 12.9K, naturally that's just a starting price.

This is a long shot, but I thought I would ask... I have a '99 CTD with 5-speed. When pulling away from a stop, there is a momentary rattle coming from somewhere under the hood (sounds like it is right behind, or near the firewall on driver's side). The sound is not real

As a mechanic out of the trade for 20 years or more and not worked on any diesel engines do I dare try a R & R of a injection pump? I hear it can be a real bear to time them with out tools and training,do I just bite the bullet and pay a shop?

I got to change the starter on my 2000 CTD. Taking a peek underneath on what tools I will be needing, I see unfamilair "bolts" holding the starter in place. They look like male Torx bits. What are these called so when I go looking
