I'm looking to purchase a step rail or step bar.
Can anyone make a comments pro or con on their experiences.

I've got a '97 Dakota w/3.9l.  The tensioner sometimes makes a lot of noise.
I've replaced it and the new one squealed just the same.  Any ideas on how
to get rid of the noise?

and 6 speed manual started to cough and lose power/RPMs and lots of
white smoke (or smoke looking substance like water vapor) came out.

I think the air pumped just seized today on my dakota (squealing belts,
smoke, neighbour looking at me and laughing, wife asking me why I don't buy
a new truck -- the works -- the thing ain't spinning). Ok, it's almost 20
years old. I haven't taken the pump off yet. Do they just go? ...
