2001 bed tie-down rings27 Apr 2007 01:02 GMT1
I have an '01 4x4 1500 quad cab with the short bed.  I was going to
tie something to the bed when, lo and behold, there are no front tie
down rings installed!!!  I'm gonna add some to the bed floor, but, I
was wondering, should there have been some, or is that stock?

WASHINGTON - District of Columbia officials warned a federal appeals court
Monday that its rejection of the city's handgun ban creates a precedent that
could severely limit gun control. A three-judge panel of the U.S. Court
of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit ruled ...

Is English becoming a second language in America?26 Apr 2007 02:34 GMT89
I am amazed at the low quality writing skills of the average newsgroup
member.  People are incapable of writing complete accurate sentences.  Their
grammar is poor, and their spelling is just plain horrible.  Punctuation and
syntax are second thoughts.  Chatroomese seems to ...
deuce and a half25 Apr 2007 22:47 GMT16
I was just reading aarcuda's comments in another thread, and the "deuce and
a half" came to mind.  Also, the Jeep.
I Googled up the old deuce and  a half.  WOW, a whopping 104 horsepower!
And IIRC, the early forties Jeeps were 60 hp.

1. DRILL PRESS: A tall upright machine useful for suddenly snatching
flat metal bar stock out of your hands so that it smacks you in the chest
and flings your beer across the room, splattering it against that freshly
painted part you were drying.
Follow up to re: mpg drop and loss of umph25 Apr 2007 14:21 GMT3
Suddenly, without warning, jmc exclaimed (03-Apr-07 6:06 PM):
> My truck recently had a massive MPG drop - from almost 17MPG down to
just a tad over 13mpg, and I was noticing today that it's lacking in
power too - used to practically create g-forces when I accelerate, now
Anti freeze breakdown.25 Apr 2007 14:09 GMT12
Any of you folks heard or read about a anti-freeze break down? Seems that it
creates a ammonia like smell and a white gunk that clogs the water passages.
Been reading about it on a srt8 forum.

OBD Codes/reader24 Apr 2007 21:47 GMT4
I'm coming up to my 15,000 mile oil change, and I figure my check engine
light will come on like it did for the first.
What's the sequence for getting the codes to display, for clearing them, and
what's a good reader that won't cost as much as a set of tire?
HD Dodge chassis24 Apr 2007 18:05 GMT5
The HD Dodge is being offered with a 5 speed automatic which
is a 545RFE. There's also an option for a 6 speed transmission which
gives no details other than an aux tranny cooler. the gentleman that
runs my truck shop just bought one of these trucks with the new

I went target shooting this morning and had brass slinging all over the
place.  First it was a Sig, then a Glock, then some 9mm I hadn't heard of
before.  Then out came the Steyr Aug A3 and the M4.  That was a load of fun.
The guy with the MP 5's didn't show up so we only had one ...
Update on Detonating '99 360 Ram Van (100,000 miles)24 Apr 2007 09:10 GMT7
I really appreciate all the advice in this newsgroup - you pointed me
to some great sites, now I have photographic guides on how to do
everything from the plug wire re-route to replacing the timing chain
(not looking forward to that).

Nitrogen Gas23 Apr 2007 21:59 GMT36
I was flipping through the channels this morning and happen to run across an
episode of Trucks or one of them shows on Spike and they were talking about
Nitrogen Gas.  Specifically they were talking about using it in tire, as the
molecules are bigger the O2 and a few other ...
