Anyone here ever go anywhere?23 Apr 2007 17:29 GMT26
Made a quick trip to southern Utah this past week.  400 miles, big whoop.
I know Roy made a trip recently.  Anyone else go anywhere except to work or
a beer run?

truck doesn't move in reverse23 Apr 2007 03:45 GMT7
Last night while driving home I got a metallic buzzing sound and
vibration in gear shift lever. Put into neutral and it stopped.
Happened several times then no problem. This morning it goes into
reverse but does not move. Forward gears are ok.
93 dodge dakota not shifting correctly22 Apr 2007 23:46 GMT1
I have a 93 dodge dakota truck 3.9L, it's automatic.
When I turn the truck on and put in gear I press the gas
pedal and it takes off slowly then speeds up. When going down the
highway with the gas pedal pushed down, I get high
mpg drop and loss of umph.22 Apr 2007 08:23 GMT50
My truck recently had a massive MPG drop - from almost 17MPG down to
just a tad over 13mpg, and I was noticing today that it's lacking in
power too - used to practically create g-forces when I accelerate, now
it's decidedly sluggish.
Sprinter camper22 Apr 2007 03:49 GMT1
Opinions needed.  Starting to think about a camper for retirement days.  Do
the Sprinter based campers make sense?  Are they reliable? All opinions
welcome. TIA
quote from trans place on my 47RE21 Apr 2007 18:16 GMT13
Talked to a good ol' country boy at a trans shop.
Been working on trannys for years and years. I gave him the symptoms of the
problem and he said it does sound like the torque converter.
He said he even if it is just the torque it would be better to go ahead and

speed governor on cummins?21 Apr 2007 08:04 GMT18
Well folks after I get my truck fixed next week I will be heading out of
town and into Mexico with better and cheaper LSD (not the drug) that is
about $1.80 a gallon  next month.
Anyway I recall some people discussing some years ago about governors on the
adjustments screws on headlight21 Apr 2007 07:21 GMT1
I have a 1997 Dakota.
Where are the adjustment screws located on the headlights. I can only find
one to either side of the headlight?
Thanks in advance for your help
Replacement Tires21 Apr 2007 01:25 GMT11
I have narrowed my search down to two tires, the Toyo Open Country H/T and
the Yokohama Geolander H/T-S.  They are pretty close in price, so that's not
a factor.  If anyone has purchased either of these tires, I would like to
hear what you think of them.  They are LT245/75/R16E

hours stopped 4 times for gas. Get to do it the other way the first weekend
Urea Tank May Soon Be Required For Diesel-Powered Vehicles20 Apr 2007 17:47 GMT7
Looks like "pissing in the pot" will be taken literally now ;-)
The good side of this, no longer need pee breaks on a long road trip to save
time.
