96 Dakota Fuel Problem20 Jun 2007 00:25 GMT5
1996 Dakota 318 V8, 172000 miles
The problem I have is when the vehicle is cold (sits overnight, or for a
couple hours) I have to turn the key on and let the fuel pump run for a few
seconds. If I don't, it just turns over for a long time before it starts.
Boost Pressure Solenoid Ait Filter19 Jun 2007 16:10 GMT1
I posted the following to the Jeep ng, but folks there don't really know
much about the CRD Liberty or diesels in general.  Since I have such
great success with getting answers to my Ram CRD questions in this ng, I
thought I would ask.

I would like to know why the GVWR for the Mega cab is only 10500 and
the Quad cab (long bed) is 12200.  I understood that these were the
same truck different cab.  The curb weights are not that different,
couple hundred pounds.  I just bought a 4horse trailer with living

Okay; Hub Bearing Replaced But...17 Jun 2007 13:02 GMT6
Friends,
I replaced the hub bearing, rotors, and brakes BUT there is still a
slight wobble in the 3-9 o'clock position.  It is 90% better but I'm
assuming I am looking at an additional problem.  I also have two cuts
wrenching on a '96 Cummins17 Jun 2007 02:21 GMT6
I'm doing some work on a '96 2500 4x4 with Cummins.  Seems like everything I
wanna do is mostly hidden by the vacuum brake system or hidden under the
injection pump.
I tried to adjust my idle today.  I got the 10mm jamnut on bottom loose, but

Watch out for CARMAX16 Jun 2007 04:04 GMT7
The following is from a complaint I just register with the BBB. If you've

I noticed several problems with the car that needed to be fixed. I reported
transmission and throttle position sensor15 Jun 2007 16:53 GMT2
I recently bought a 93 dakota (extended cab, v6, 4x4, auto) to use as a
work truck. Needed new shocks in front and brakes, which I put in
without any trouble - it's a nice roomy car to work on. Otherwise it's
been pretty dependable engine-wise.
Ping ........ Mac Davis15 Jun 2007 06:41 GMT12
Anybody seen/heard from Mac since mid October?  I thought South Mexico had
internet.  All his old email addresses are DOA as is his old web page.  I
didn't think the house was finished down there yet.
