A pillar gauge mount color 199619 Dec 2007 02:47 GMT4
I have a 1996 2500 with Driftwood interior. Seats are gray with the red
and blue checks but carpet, dash, door panels etc...are a brownish gray
tint. The gauge mounts are only in black for my year. What has everyone
done to match their interior?

Air Conditioning... isn't12 Dec 2007 23:17 GMT4
My truck's about 7 years old, but AC's seen less than 4 years of actual
use (three years in England I think we used the AC once).
Recently, it's begun blowing not-so-cold air.  In fact, the air temp out
of the vents seems about the same whether the AC is on or not.  I'm

Dakota Recall??09 Dec 2007 18:49 GMT9
Caught the tail end of a Fox News report this AM about a recall of
some Dakots concerning a trannie (Park pall?) problem. I missed
the meat of what they were saying.
Was unable to find it on the recall sites that Google pulled up.
We need more lead and mercury in our toys!09 Dec 2007 17:30 GMT3
RANT MODE ON
A news article about lead in Christmas ornaments got me thinking about the old
days when we decorated our Christmas trees with pure lead tinsel and got mazes
with mercury in them as toys.  The whole fricken house was painted with lead
'06 Ram w/Diesel -- Doesn't 'hold' heat09 Dec 2007 05:28 GMT92
I drive an '06 Ram 2500 with Cummins Diesel motor.
It doesn't seem to 'hold' heat very well.  I can have the truck all warmed
up, right at the centerpoint of the temp gauge.
Then I'll park it and shut it off.  In about an hour I'll come back to
new dodge cigar lighter missing09 Dec 2007 01:38 GMT20
just picked up a new dodge ram truck and noticed the cigar lighter was
missing from the socket.  I did not get the smokers package and was
there fore told that this is the way it is if you don't have that
package.   Seems funny to me that the receptacle is there, fully

My older truck vs my newer truck - 4WD05 Dec 2007 15:50 GMT25
My very first truck was a Dodge 1979 Sno-Commander.  It was full time 4WD.
That's why my husband called it back then. We never had to do anything to
put it into 4WD.
He since passed on and I finally had to sell that truck and I bought a
1999 Dodge Ram Truck (4x2) Steering Box Seals04 Dec 2007 00:26 GMT4
I just found that the seal for the output shaft (pitman shaft?) on the
steering box of my truck is leaking pretty badly.  Can someone tell me
how hard a job it is to replace the seal?  I have a factory service
