i have a little play in my steering gearbox.  anybody know if the pinion is
adjustable and i can adjust out the play or is a replacement in order?

I am fairly new to deisel pickups. I bought a 2001 3/4 ton turbo deisel 4x4.
Does anyone know the average cost (gallons of fuel) per ton? I probably
average 18 miles/gallon running with a minimal load. What would be the
mileage if I have a ton of hay in the bed of my truck?

92 Dakota will not start on first try of the day. Will eventually
start with no problems. Idles badly the longer it runs and will stall
within the first mile of driving. Usually takes 10 minutes to restart.
I have cleaned the carb, replaced the MAP sensor and changed the fuel

99 Dodge Ram 4X4 6 speed standard
cruise control just stopped working. the dash indicator light comes on but
there is nothing else. I do not see any reference to fuses. Anyone have any
suggestions where to start looking?

I've got an old truck that I like and use around my farm, but today it
stopped running.  I've replaced coil, distributer cap, rotor, and
ballast resistor, but still no spark.  And what the heck is that brass
colored button on the inside of the driver's side fender?

In 2003, my truck failed inspection in England due to "rusty rotors".
He showed them to me, they didn't look bad to me but then I've no basis
to judge it.  I saw some rust color and very light pitting - didn't look
terribly bad to me.  They said they replaced the rotors - do not ...

While driving down the road, my voltage gauge drops down and
my "check gauges" light comes on.  Thinking I have a dead battery
I continue on until I can stop on a hill and roll to start if needed.  I
checked my connections and all seem fine...truck starts normally

My transmission is shifting roughly on the upshift, and does not
downshift when slowing down.  On hills I have to floorboard it to get
it to downshift.
I borrowed a friends reader/scanner and got the following codes:

Just did the front disc brakes. New pads, turned to rotors and new
anti-rattle springs.
Not when I apply the brakes there is a crunchy/scrunchy sound and I
