When my daughter's car sits a few days, when it is started it has a
fairly pronounced "rap" for about half a minute. I haven't had a
listen to it yet - just her description. Is lifter noise common on
these 24 valve engines, or is it likely to be piston slap? Not sure of

I have a 2000 dodge intrepid. Not too much has gone wrong with it, but
lately, at 75K miles things are going. I've had to replace the battery,
fan belts, and something to do with the cooling system that sits on top
of the engine. Now most of this is regular stuff, but now I have to

Here is a stupid question. When you start your vehicle and the dash
goes through the power-up test, if the image lights up, do you have that
feature or option available? In mine, the tire pressure indicator
lights up (test) but I didn't see that option available on the window

My friend has a neon with DOHC and also a minivan, 2.5 turbo. They both cut
out under hard acceleration. They can be driven at highway speeds, but if
you feed lots of fuel they will cut out for a few seconds and then start
pulling again. They will continue to do this as long as ...

things to look out for in the way of special tools or techniques to
avoid air pockets?

Mixed feelings this week.
68,000 miles and got the van in for service.

The rear gate on my 2000 Caravan has started to act up in that it won't
unlock with the power locks. I can hear the lock mechanism open and
close when it is actuated but the rear gate remains locked and won't
open. Same situation when I try unlocking it with the key. Anyone have
