The KTLA News@Ten is reporting that a bunch of cars that were parked near the route for the Hollywood Christmas Parade (which, incidentaly, starred "Sponge Bob Square Pants" - couldn't hey find any bigger stars this year?) were towed - BEFORE the temporary "No Parking" signs were

| Think of it as Road Karma in Action | 30 Nov 2004 07:21 GMT | 1 |
Earlier today, northbound on I-5 near Jamboree Road. I'm in the #4 lane; a few cars ahead of me there is a Waste Management garbage truck. Passing me in the #3 lane is a semi. My lane is moving kinda slow, so I guess Mr. Waste Management got fed up and whipped over into

| Old Topic - Still no improvement | 30 Nov 2004 02:44 GMT | 5 |
It was two years ago when I brought this up here and on misc.transport.road. The situation involves a 4-way intersection, the side of which I come out of having two lanes - the left is for straight or left turn, the

Last night I was eastbound on I-8. The road, as usual, was nearly empty; I was driving in the right lane. A pair of headlights appeared on the horizon behind me, and quickly approached. As they drew closer, I saw that the vehicle was driving in

| offensive driving | 28 Nov 2004 18:33 GMT | 15 |
I think I'm guilty - poor old SUV couldn't accelerate fast enough to prevent me from getting in front of him. On the positive side though, my getting in front of him didn't slow him down in the least and it assured that I would make the left-turn light

| Premium Gas premium, Full-Service surcharge | 28 Nov 2004 17:34 GMT | 4 |
Just to clarify the subjects, I'm talking about the price difference between the regular unleaded and premium unleaded gasoline, and the extra amounts charged for full-service vs. self-service. Obviously, the folks in OR and NJ won't understand the notion that it costs extra to ...

Remember when you were a child and your mommy would ask you "If your friends were to go jump off a cliff, would you do it, too?" Well, it appears the answer in some cases is a resounding YES. The scene: I'm in the right lane of a 2-lane dedicated left turn

| Truckers Expect Consideration, Too | 27 Nov 2004 18:48 GMT | 20 |
Saw a Trucker on the freeway yesterday turn on his left turn signal just as a 4-wheeler was approaching in the left lane. Predictably, the 4-wheeler hit the brakes and let the Trucker begin a micro-pass in front of it. It's not like the Trucker didn't know the car was there;

| Question about 4 way stops | 27 Nov 2004 16:33 GMT | 33 |
Suppose I arrive at a 4 way stop second (few seconds after the first car). The first is a car in front of me going in the opposite direction. I intend to go straight, and it appears that the opposite driver is also (no turn signal!). So I decide to go into the intersection, going ...
