The Most Brazen MFFY Yet08 Mar 2005 15:04 GMT10
On the way out of Tucson this afternoon I passed the Campo Abierto
entrance to the Westin La Paloma resort. Cars were lined up from both
directions waiting to get into the driveway, and traffic was backed up
all the way to the street - apparently there was some kind of event
Today's Harley Mouth-Breather08 Mar 2005 04:43 GMT14
Your typical HMB with a minimum-protection Nazi helmet and a leather
Harley Davidson vest was riding westbound on Culver Drive near the 5
freeway. As we approached a red signal, he began to stab at his
throttle - I guess his bike is such a high-performance machine that

What a Beautiful Day for a Drive!07 Mar 2005 23:19 GMT6
Westbound I-8, JWO Stanfield, AZ. The sky is partly cloudy, but bright
sunshine is streaming through. The road is dry and arrow-straight,
with a slight downgrade. There's not another car anywhere in sight.
Thanks to a wet winter, the median is full of healthy green plants -
undeserved running red light ticket.  Need advice07 Mar 2005 22:19 GMT90
I recently received a ticket for running a red light.  I did run the
light but I think I had a valid reason.
It was late at night and I had gone out to get something to eat.  I
went to the Wendy's drive-thru and while I was ordering some guy was
The Ultimate "Ricer Flyby"07 Mar 2005 20:33 GMT13
For those who are't familiar with the term, the "Ricer Flyby" is what
the guy driving the fart-can-equipped Honda Civic does after you blow
his doors off and ease off the throttle. Once you're no longer trying,
he finally catches up with you and flies past, thinking he won the

The fastest and slowest animals on the planet07 Mar 2005 16:20 GMT20
Slowest animal on the planet:  A black man crossing the street in front of
a white driver.
Fastest animal on the planet:  Two fat women scrambling for the last
doughnut at a NAAFA meeting.
Dislodging Duckling LLBs07 Mar 2005 08:22 GMT3
Blocking the passing lane of a 100 km/h zone today was a minivan,
matching the 90 km/h speed of the two cars in front of me.  Instead of
allowing the Duckling to sit next to him, the second driver in the right
lane beside the Duckling turned on his left signal and began moving ...
It's Not Just the Californians07 Mar 2005 00:49 GMT7
I always joke about how Californians cannot handle driving in the
rain. Well, last night I passed not one but TWO separate multicar
accident scenes: one on I-8 and the other on I-10, both in Arizona.
After I passed the first one, I saw two ambulances and 3 DPS cruisers
Caymen S06 Mar 2005 22:07 GMT3
The new Porsche looks like a mid-engined 911.  They must want to make
the rear-engined car handle better like the Boxster and the GT!

Why is it so hard for people to operate the AC properly?06 Mar 2005 19:32 GMT28
Half the people I"ve ridden with don't seem capable of judging the
inside temperature of their car and adjusting their AC and blower
speeds appropriately.  Yesterday we went on a jobsite tour and it was
getting hot inside the truck. But does the driver notice... Nooooo.

"Bill would base how fast you travel on rate used by 85% of motorists
(sic)" (Why are reporters unable to properly define the 85th percentile?)
Now all AZ needs is a KRETP law with strict enforcement and we're all set :)
LLB moves over06 Mar 2005 02:21 GMT1
On a 4-lane divided roadway, which is a 100 km/h zone, an LLB decides
not to try blocking the passing lane anymore.  Traffic is approaching
two slower vehicles in the right lane, a minivan and a truck.  The
minivan driver behind the truck drifts into the passing lane and starts
