LLBing in Louisiana05 Sep 2005 07:27 GMT7
I saw some footage on TV of people driving out of New Orleans.
The left-most lane of a 3-lane highway was chocka with cars.
The other 2 lanes just had a few cars going by every now and

There is a very interesting article on http://LiveToBe100.org about how

So let's have a show of hands:  Who has voluntarily reduced Gas consumption in the last month?04 Sep 2005 08:36 GMT32

taxing more for larger vehicles.  I want the government out of it as
much as possible.

CA Vehicle Code (Rear Collision)03 Sep 2005 04:13 GMT8
I was involved in a rear collision and now the other party does not
want to take blame for the accident.  I know there is a vehicle code
that states something about safe driving distance.  Fault is always on
the driver who hits the other from the rear.
Need assistance with auto expenses03 Sep 2005 03:58 GMT10
I drive a lot for work (in town and out), and receive 30 cents a mile.
A year ago that wasn't great, but now it is just awful.
The man who decides the amount has commented that "at 30 cents a mile

Speed Bumps Ineffective at Slowing Street Traffic03 Sep 2005 03:48 GMT7
Here's something we already knew: drivers who are forced to slow down
for speed humps speed up once they get past the hump in order to make
up for lost time. Couple that with the fact that pedestrians are
pretty much invisible to the average driver (a fact to which I can
