A New Driving Maneuver: The F-U-Turn29 Sep 2005 15:59 GMT51
This is a new one on me. I and a couple of other drivers were stopped
at a red light. Just as our light turned green, a driver coming from
the opposite direction ran his red light and made a U-turn directly in
front of us. The driver of the minivan next to me honked his horn -
SUVs Should Have 55MPH Speed Limit29 Sep 2005 15:01 GMT5
Instead of stopping NORMAL cars for speeding, cops should stop any
SUVs going over 55mph.  The piece of sh.t SUVs are a bigger danger due
to their higher momentum, extended braking distances, and questionable
handling characteristics at high speeds -- much like semis.

$5/gal is making me gleeful29 Sep 2005 06:23 GMT89
I love it!  Fairly insulated from the potential effects of skyrocketing
gas prices.  Drive a scooter, grow lots of my own food, a teacher (no
chance of losing my job! :) ).  Sitting pretty, watching the chaos
unfold.  It's actually sexually gratifying to see the possibilty of gas
Georgia closes schools to cut gas consumption29 Sep 2005 03:50 GMT25
No mention of lowering speed limits or banning gas guzzlers from the
highways.  Better to do away with educating the kids.

LLB's should just be gassed, period. 28 Sep 2005 18:59 GMT9
Just what is it that motivates some LLB's to do what they do?

highway seperated by a median, posted SL 50MPH. I'm in the right lane
doing appx. the SL and in the left lane is some old bag doing appx 40 -

Does freeway driving mileage go down with passengers in the car?28 Sep 2005 06:19 GMT37
I'm sure the added weight hurts mileage in city driving where you do a
lot of accelerating.  But in constant speed driving like on a freeway,
i would think the reduction is very slight.
