| Toward a manifesto on unmarked cars | 21 Sep 2005 11:46 GMT | 60 |
In an incident a couple of years ago where I didn't stop for an unmarked car, both the officer, and later, my so-called defense attorney said that I had no valid reason to doubt that it was police car. After all, they said, it was broad daylight on a well-traveled

| Lexus Pre-Collision System? | 21 Sep 2005 02:55 GMT | 13 |
My mother wants to buy a Lexus, and was trying to find out about their new "Pre-Collision System". Is it any good? Is it worth it? My mother worries that it will take away "control" of the car, but I reason that when it kicks in, the amount of control you have won't

| safety of projector headlights? | 20 Sep 2005 14:16 GMT | 22 |
Those small projector headlights on a lot of Acuras, BMWs, etc. are supposed to give a brighter, focused beam that helps the driver, but what about other people's ability to see you? Being seen can be as important as seeing the road. A lot of times they look like evil snake

| revenue drives traffic cameras | 19 Sep 2005 16:35 GMT | 3 |
Traffic cameras work, decreasing ticket revenue, so they need more cameras to increase revenue. Nothing new, I'm just irritated that it is so brazen now. http://www.signonsandiego.com/uniontrib/20050914/news_1m14vcoun.html

| Sometimes I love LLBs! | 19 Sep 2005 15:13 GMT | 59 |
I love it when a cop car travelling in the left lane at 20-30 mph over the speed limit is suddenly blocked by a scared shitless LLB who, no matter how aggressively tailgated by the cop, will keep matching legal speed with
