Lane Inertia14 Feb 2006 03:29 GMT4
Most of the time, when there are multiple lanes that lead to the same
destination, traffic is distributed reasonably evenly among the lanes.  Some
individuals make some of their lane choices based on which lane has fewer
cars ahead.

Japanese vs. American -  joke13 Feb 2006 23:24 GMT8
A Japanese company and an American company decided to have a canoe race on
the Missouri River. Both teams practiced long and hard to reach their peak
performance before the race.
On the big day, the Japanese won by a mile. The Americans, very discouraged
RV/Coach That Can Carry A Small Car13 Feb 2006 20:23 GMT5
I don't recall all the details, but a few years ago I remember seeing a
show on TV about some celebrity's coach that is designed to carry a
small car (I think a Mini) inside.  I'd appreciate if anyone can share
any information of the web sites with pictures of such coaches or other
Breaking from most states, Georgia recognizes roadside memorial signs13 Feb 2006 19:07 GMT14
This is for people murdered by drunk drivers.  Now we need signs for
those killed by speeders.

Sad commentary.13 Feb 2006 17:38 GMT5
This morning on my way to work I was cut off by an SUV whose driver
didn't feel it necessary to use his turn signal.  I got a good view of
the bumper sticker that read "If you can read this, I can hit my brakes
and sue you."

Slightly interesting motorway events du jour13 Feb 2006 03:45 GMT1
Today I found myself in the fast lane but going the speed limit (due to
police activity showing on my detector). There was a SUV behind me
and nobody in front of me. Normally I would change lane in this
situation, but I felt like getting one back on all those LLBing SUVs,

So the UK government criminalizes those who "insult" Muslims?!
Then someone like Anne Coulter (read her insults against Islam here:

Kansas City, MO11 Feb 2006 05:03 GMT1
Is K.C. a good place to live?  As far as being a drivable city with
adequate roads and parking?  How good is snow removal?  Friendly
atmosphere?  Is it gay friendly?  She said she was considering the move
to K.C., MO for a job offering but is reluctant to take it.
This don't make no sense11 Feb 2006 02:37 GMT10
We're supposed to get a lot of snow today and the city says you have to
park your car on the even side of the street so the plows can get thru.
Why can't i just put it in the garage?
My first accident....insurance and other hard questions....10 Feb 2006 23:39 GMT10
Hopefully I can get some help here. Last night about 11pm someone
backed into my car and it was clearly his fault (though i doubt he'll
admit it...but i'll get to that).   Basically, I was exiting a parking
lot with cars parked perpendicularly to me and all moving vehicles
Another overturned semi, same highway 10 Feb 2006 23:26 GMT16

there was a semi overturned in the median and ahead on the shoulder there was a pickup
truck with a big dent in the tailgate area.
I dont know what happened, but it seems that the pu driver merged in ...
