Why aren't bikes allowed on freeways.???27 Jun 2006 22:31 GMT142
It's really the safest place for them since there is always a wide
berm on a freeway  and there is no chance of some parked car pulling
into their path like happens all the time in cities.. We need to
encourage bike use and i say BIKES EVERYWHERE.
Stretch Lincoln27 Jun 2006 21:52 GMT5
The other day I was sitting in one of two lanes for turning
right at the lights. (Think left-turn, if you're American). I was
on the inner lane, and in the outer lane was a stretch
Lincoln Navigator. It was huge -- there was enough space

Is it possible to live in America without a car?27 Jun 2006 17:39 GMT898
It sounds to me like, "Can an ant survive among the big predators?"
Well, sort of, they run the risk of being stepped upon, but they got
the "freedom" to run around. Welcome to the Jungle...

A woman stopped in the left lane of I-93 and got out of her car
to help a turtle cross the road.  Unfortunately, she was not
among those injured in the resulting wreck and fled the scene.
The fate of the turtle was not reported.

So I am driving along in the left lane passing traffic and closing in on
the vehicle in front of me when this dufus flicks on his signal and
moves into the left lane a few feet in front of me. I maintain this
following distance he has chosen for himself and the dickhead starts

Metrolink Tops 1 Million27 Jun 2006 03:40 GMT32
You see? Train ridership in SoCal is up - in fact, it's reached an
all-time high. More and more people every day are leaving their
gas-guzzling SUVs at home, skipping the stress of nightmare freeway
congestion, and taking the train to work.
Read this and then explain why Laura Bush was never charged  with vehicular homicide27 Jun 2006 03:02 GMT37
No one disputes that Laura Bush once ran a stop sign and killed a guy
and yet was never charged with anything. Her fans says that's because
she was only 17 and was not drunk.  Well - here's a case of a 16 year
old girl who killed someone due to speeding.  No evidence of booze but

Moron Runs Out of Gas, Then Gets Nailed Crossing the Freeway26 Jun 2006 23:51 GMT23
I was heading south on the 405 on Sunday night (after slogging through
nightmare traffic in Santa Barabara). While passing through Costa Mesa
(oddly enough) one of the "Amber Alert" signs on the freeway said that
the freeway was closed at Sand Canyon. I turned on KNX 1070, and the

Pickup Trucks and male discontent26 Jun 2006 23:29 GMT51
Visit any urban office parking area and you will notice the large
number of pickups. Though the owners will give any number of reasons
for owning the truck, generally there is no abiding need for same.
But the urban White male has become so hemmed in by feminism,
