| getting a state map from Australia | 27 Jul 2006 04:35 GMT | 1 |
I've ordered several state maps from other D.O.T sites, (so far only been sent WA and MT) - I've got a PDF of a Cali state map, but due to its dimensions, it would be a pain to print on a standard a4 printer. Does the California D.O.T offer to send paper maps to other countries?

| Yielding and timing turns | 27 Jul 2006 03:52 GMT | 15 |
This is one of those things that drives me nuts, but it could be a driving style I learned from California that is clashing with the style of the D.C. area. When making a left turn, I yield to opposing traffic, but if there's a gap that I can drive through, I'll start moving ...

| Mileage that makes no sense | 26 Jul 2006 22:49 GMT | 9 |
I just spent five days driving around southwestern Colorado in a 2000 Honda Civic. This car was carrying two overweight people, a bunch of vacation crap, and had the air conditioner going full blast almost full time. Over 770 miles of up-and-down mountain

| South Side Crash Wipes Out Wetbacks | 26 Jul 2006 02:45 GMT | 5 |
Notice how the liberal media takes GREAT pains to avoid mentioning whether the driver of the car was an illegal alien. I'm guessing everyone in that Escort was a wetback, in which case good riddance to this criminal trash. My only regret is that the scumbag driver is most

| Sign says - ABSOLUTELY no parking | 25 Jul 2006 21:40 GMT | 21 |
Saw that today in front of a library. It's a legitimate traffic sign from the city; not something homemade. Apparently people interpret "no parking" signs as not applying if you're only gonna be there long enough to drop off some books. Same way people think 60 mph really

| It's Gonna Cost $140 BILLION To Fix SoCal's Roads | 25 Jul 2006 06:03 GMT | 58 |
Eric Spillman (KTLA) is reporting that roads in SoCal are in need of an estimated $140 BILLION in repair and upgrade work. California, however, has only budgeted about 1/6th of that amount. This is why I say we will NEVER be able to build our way out of road
