Just When My Faith in Humanity Had Been Restored...18 Nov 2006 20:39 GMT4
I found out today that it IS possible to have a pleasant drive on the
Ortega Highway. For those not familiar with it, the Ortega Highway (CA
74) is a twisty mountain nroad that runs between San Juan Capistrano
and Lake Elsinore (and beyond). If you drive it on a weekend (or at

I've lived here (in CO) for a year, but still don't have a driver's
license issued by this state.
The other day, another new resident of this great state had a CO
driver's license guide and we were looking at it and noticed that there
"Love Ride" Cops Ignore 17,000 Illegal Exhausts18 Nov 2006 20:18 GMT34
I just saw this report on the 6:00 news. The video shows 17,000 Harley
riders waiting in line to begin the ride, and a couple of (apparently
deaf) cops standing at the head of the line, waving each biker through
in turn. HTF can these cops just stand there while 17,000 hogs with

I saw something amazing today18 Nov 2006 09:43 GMT28
As I was approaching  4-way intersection (30 mph, no passing
residential area) I noticed that the driver of black Explorer who was
first in line on cross street and had the right of way was just sitting
there giving hand signals to all other vehicles (there were about 8

I-81 in Northern NY17 Nov 2006 15:53 GMT8
Right now (10 AM, 11/10) there are about 8 or more NY state troopers on
speed patrol spread out between exits 42 and 45 (Watertown, just South of
Watertown).  This is a very short distance, it amounts to one statie every
half mile (or something like that).  I got nabbed by one.  ...

additives, and detergents.
But what if it were possible to pump into the cars gas tank PURE

Moron... (just need to vent!)15 Nov 2006 20:50 GMT46
So today I'm heading out to Santa Monica; I'm on the 10, in the left
lane, doing 80-ish.  I see a sloth ahead and I slow down...and slow
down...and slow down...all the while flashing my lights at him.  I've
now slowed down to about 55; there is NO ONE in front of the sloth.  So
The horror--they seem to be making a comeback!15 Nov 2006 17:42 GMT3
They were bad enough the last time, back in the mid-late 80s, but lately

vehicles again.  I thought we were through with that retarded phase of
motoring.
