CA-22: The Garbage Grove Freeway27 Jan 2007 16:20 GMT12
For more than two years, the Garbage Grove Freeway (Californis state
route 22) has been under construction. I drove this freeway daily for
a short time when I had a client in Garden Grove, and I complained
bitterly about it in these groups just about every day. :) This short
People I want to kill slowly...27 Jan 2007 11:49 GMT19
They are in front of you and want to get into the left- (or right-) turn
only lane.  Only instead of simply doing this, they hesitantly get
halfway in, while still sticking halfway in your lane and blocking you,
as they get to the intersection.  Since they don't have the green ...
Motorists are Cutting Back on Driving27 Jan 2007 08:19 GMT2
Yep, that's right: American drivers are actually cutting back on
driving. High gas prices are undoubtedly one cause, but traffic
congestion is undoubtedly another big part of it. And I am definitely
seeing more people on the train station platform in the morning than I
Darwin's Lament26 Jan 2007 20:18 GMT2
So here we have some dumbass who struck and killed a geezer who was
crossing the street. Since the geezer was not in a crosswalk, the
driver would not have been charged with anything; doddering old fools
walk out in front of cars every day. The driver would have to hang

Everybody wants to know why26 Jan 2007 12:56 GMT4
Why, they ask.  Why is this girl and her boyfriend dead?  Gee whizzy sh.t,
is it bad luck?  bad karma?   let's try to make sense of this
tragedy.........
How about this:  girl speeding and driving irresposibly, leaving one side

Can we tow this car yet?26 Jan 2007 01:02 GMT6
Here in Las Vegas, about ten years ago, a freeway leg was proposed, and
construction began.  It ran through a section of former desert.  On that
desert was an abandoned car.  I use the term "car" loosely, as it was IIRC,
a 50's Chevy, minus motor, tranny, hood, front clip, trunk, ...
Push-button ignition26 Jan 2007 00:42 GMT11
What is the advantage to the push-button ignitions you see in all the
high-end cars these days?  Just curious.

Why is it .........25 Jan 2007 23:22 GMT5
That people who are making a right hand turn at an intersection take all
three lanes to do so?
Or people taking a left hand turn in an intersection with a light take all
three lanes to do so?
Twofer Thursday25 Jan 2007 15:36 GMT1
Today the MFFYCam captures two incidents in as many minutes. First we
see a driver whose "courtesy" ends up screwing himself (and everyone
behind him), and immediately after that we see an oblivious Sloth on a
cell phone whose inattention to his driving results in his missing a
Why Is This Not Surprising?25 Jan 2007 14:00 GMT5
The driver who careened off of cars, poles, and walls for two blocks
in that video was 79 years old!!! How much you wanna bet he mistook
the gas pedal for the brake pedal?
