| Fog lights | 19 Jan 2007 00:09 GMT | 13 |
Why is it that people who have fog lights on their cars use them when it is not foggy? It looks like the oncoming driver has his brights on. I've tried mine, and find the area they illuminate right in front of the car to be annoying. I

| I Think They Rebooted It | 18 Jan 2007 15:48 GMT | 4 |
I was sitting at a traffic light this morning which was acting VERY strangely. The cross traffic's cycle kept repeating (i.e. as soon as the light would go red it would immediately turn green again and begin another cycle, with no intervening cycle for traffic going in my

| The Best Possible Outcome | 18 Jan 2007 15:45 GMT | 6 |
Here we have a case where some doddering old fool, who was clearly driving past his expiration date, took himself out without harming any innocent bystanders. The only way this could have turned out any better would have been if the geezer had acknowledged his failing

| Yet Another "Speed-Related "Crash | 18 Jan 2007 02:40 GMT | 5 |
Cop logic never ceases to astound me. "The Firebird's speed and failure to stop [...] caused the collision." So I guess if he had blown through the stop sign but not exceeded the posted speed limit the crash would not have occurred?

| Speed situation poll. | 18 Jan 2007 01:28 GMT | 21 |
Here's a poll for you. Situation: you are driving down a 55-posted highway (true of 2-lane roads in Iowa and most of Missouri|). You top a hill and see a patrol car about 1/2 mile out, parked off the road. You glance at the

| YAY - Another drunk driver convicted of MURDER | 17 Jan 2007 15:59 GMT | 54 |
This seems to be more and more common. 30 years ago this would have been an accident. 10 years ago, manslaughter. http://www.dailycomet.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070110/APN/701103132 January 10. 2007 1:32PM

| Who is competent to drive 100mph? | 17 Jan 2007 02:47 GMT | 75 |
How did you arrive at your conclusion? Whom, among your passengers, agree with your assessment? How many miles have you operated at 100mph(+)? How much experience (in miles) do you have exploring the limits of

| Found elsewhere - Baby on Board | 17 Jan 2007 01:49 GMT | 6 |
I'm making my way through my hour commute home from work and the gym Thursday night when I suddenly look around and realize I've been surrounded by mini-vans. I must say it was quite an unsettling realization. To begin with, mini-van sales have dipped way down ever since the arrival ...

| I-210 (and save Temporary CA 30) | 17 Jan 2007 01:06 GMT | 3 |
I did some surveying around the new I-210 corridor and dying CA 30 to see what's changed. The alignment is now all the way out to I-215 and just needs some ramp and rail work, near as I can tell. All the CA 30 signs west of I-215 are gone on Highland Ave, although the postmiles are ...

Via fark.com http://news.windingroad.com/aftermarket/hummer-h3-country-squire-edition/ This one only works with the pictures. Imagine someone took the styling of a 1975 ford country squire wagon and applied it to a Hummer H3.

| Bangor, Maine, makes it illegal to smoke in cars with children present | 16 Jan 2007 21:52 GMT | 22 |
They're going after the second hand smoke angle but the real problem with smoking drivers is the same as the problem with drivers on cell phones or playing with the radio or eating food. Holding a burning stick in your hand while driving increases your chances of losing

| Has anyone ever sued the car-makers for making fast cars?? | 16 Jan 2007 12:45 GMT | 34 |
It would seem like a no-brainer. If someone is killed on the freeway by some nut doing say 85 mph, you'd think the victim's family would sue the manufacturer for making a car DESIGNED to break the law. Should be easy for the family to win. And yet i've never heard of any such
