These tires need to take me up two miles of icy (at times) road, then 1/2

San Rafael, California - A man who allegedly faked his own kidnapping to

There are many who cling to the belief that a major metropolitan area
like Los Angeles can be evacuated in a reasonable amount of time by
the use of private automobiles.  Today, we got a reminder of just how
wrong that belief can be.

It occurs to me that winter storms could be quantitatively compared
by ranking them in SUVs - the number of SUVs that are upside down and/
or in need of body work after the storm has past.  Observations made
while driving suggest that yesterday's ice-fall rated about 1000 SUVs

A friend of mine just bought a Chevy II Super Sport in great condition from
the original owner.  It is in the San Francisco area, and we live in Las
Vegas.  I have suggested instead of using a full trailer to tow it back to
use a tow dolly.  He has a Nissan XTerra, and I don't ...

So my wife got a speeding ticket a few weeks ago, and decided to fight it.
(got the charge reduced so no insurance surcharges, whew!)  We go to court
today and we are like the only TRAFFIC charge there.  This was pre-trial

We have a 1960 Mercury Comet.
Original Owners, approx 100K mi, V6, 4 Door, all original parts.  Is
