Superiority of manual over automatics31 May 2007 23:47 GMT13
I have driven manuals all my life but recently had to drive an
automatic car for a week. I noticed automatics are quite poor when it

When will speed limit be lowered to 55?31 May 2007 23:39 GMT110
I am praying for the day when this country will lower the speed
limit back to 55 MPH. Gas prices have increased enormously yet I

people realize how much more economical , safer and less stressful it

Conspiracy to Promote Transit Use?31 May 2007 21:33 GMT12
Let's see a show of hands: who believes that this "accident" was
staged in order to force more people to use publoic transit? Notice
that officials have ALREADY added more trains to Bart...
That they blame the crash on "speeding" is just the icing on the cake.
Google's Street View31 May 2007 19:46 GMT21
Google has pulled out all the stops.  You can now look at roads from
the first-person perspective!    What's the catch?  Only major cities
seem to get the new feature.

bogus pre-text stop31 May 2007 06:43 GMT36
A friend of mine was telling me he got pulled over the other day
allegedly because his windows were tinted too darkly.
The cop then told him that "a lot of people in this year and model car
are up to no good" and let him off with a verbal warning to fix his

There is hope for the anti-MFFY!30 May 2007 21:41 GMT3
Was a little late for work today...  not playing hooky, had to stop at
a job site which was actually past my house in a direction away from
the office... anyway, on my way *to* the office I was sitting at a
stop light.  Cross traffic is moving, then slows, then stops.  At

As I'm walking back to my office after lunch today, I see a woman in
an SUV driving down a side street. Behind her is a man driving a small
Mercedes sedan. The woman slows down in order to make a right turn
into a driveway; there is nothing on the left side of the road except
Report an accident?30 May 2007 17:48 GMT8
I was just in a minor accident in California.  I was in a little two
way straight (one lane each way) at a stop sign for a pretty busy
street.  I was contemplating making a left, but decided to make a
right instead.
