Cops puting surveillance cameras outside bars to catch DUIs.25 May 2007 11:33 GMT23
Drunk drivers are killers and maimers and i'm all for catching them, but
the real solution is much much tougher penalties. One DUI conviction
should mean permanent loss of license. I'm no coddler.

It's the perfect prescription.

Speed Kills Again24 May 2007 17:47 GMT2
Hmm... Maybe Lankford drove so fast that Relativity kicked in and
warped space, altering the path of his vehicle and sending him into
oncoming traffic?

Lady Driven!!24 May 2007 17:03 GMT1
Hmm... So how come "speed" is not the primary factor in this crash? In
the previous story I posted, the cops think that "speed" caused the
driver to cross the median, yet there's no mention of that in this
story. The only difference that I can see is that this bimbo did not
Proper Lane Use when Turning24 May 2007 06:59 GMT13
Wondering on some opinions for this... this is in Michigan if it
matters.
We have a couple of intersections where 2 lanes turn.  Sometimes to
the right, sometimes left.  But they turn into roads that have 3

Lower speed limits do not prevent Darwinesque collisions.24 May 2007 01:11 GMT10
From Fark.com....
"Pedestrians step in front of buses and get run over. City reduces speed
limit. Even more pedestrians step in front of slow-moving buses and get
run over"
Gas Price: ARTIFICIAL SHORTAGE24 May 2007 00:15 GMT80
Seems like the gas companies are working the same tactic
that De Beers diamond corporation does. Create an artificial
shortage to drive the prices up. De Beers sits on vast quantities
of product, releasing only a trickle of dimaonds onto the
Why a CHP car at construction areas, exactly?23 May 2007 23:22 GMT28
Curious about why a Highway Patrol car is almost invariably posted at
the site of major (and/or lane blocking?) construction on CA state
highways and above.   Is it to ticket people doing stoopid things in
the construction zone, or because a cruiser with the cop lights going

Any thread where I ask nutball about the people he killed (thus
causing his psychoses), he no longer posts to that thread.

Sensors over weigh station23 May 2007 03:59 GMT9
I 20 here in Atlanta has a weigh station.  I noticed some kind of
sensors over the road before you get to the off ramp and another set
past the ramp.
Anyone know what the sensors do?
MFFYs Du Jour for Monday, May 21, 200723 May 2007 03:16 GMT4
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qQej1umNLes
This video was shot at the Kiss-'n-Ride driveway in front of a
Metrolink commuter train station. Every morning, without fail, a bunch
of arrogant, thoughtless MFFYs pass up multiple empty parking spaces
Which GPS would you recommend?23 May 2007 03:04 GMT49
So, I'm looking for a GPS unit.  It doesn't necessarily have to include
road maps (surprised??? ;)); it just needs to have provide geographic
coordinates w/in several metres of accuracy.
Taking into consideration a balanced price and accuracy ratio, which
Want lower gas prices? THEN DRIVE SLOW22 May 2007 14:50 GMT122
Keep it under 60 on the open road and in town coast up to stop lights
and accelerate gradually.  Slow driving will also greatly reduce your
chance of being killed or maimed or doing the same to others.  Reject
the Big Oil propaganda that fast and wild driving is macho. Only ...
