Ford truck update (rant)06 Jul 2007 18:12 GMT11
So y'all remember that last Monday I bought myself a shiny (well, in
certain localized spots) new (for generous values of "new") Ford truck.
Guy had just had it inspected and the oil changed and also had the
cooling system pressure tested (because I noticed it was low on ...
Are cell phones really that dangerous?06 Jul 2007 17:29 GMT16
In my mid-sized town of 150k people, everyone is yapping on their cell
phone will driving. However I do not notice any increase in accidents.
It makes we wonder if the dangers of cell phone driving may be

Someone's Tailpipe Falls Off, Idiots Think It's a Bomb06 Jul 2007 14:37 GMT3

snowbelt would be like if every time someone's rusty tailpipe fell off
their car the police shut down the intersection for a few hours?

It Must REALLY Suck to Live in Orange County, FL05 Jul 2007 23:52 GMT10
Now they have Uncle Sam running LIDAR with a dozen deputies on
motorcycles waiting around the corner to write the tickets. At
Christmas time it's Santa or an Elf (hiding behind a decorated
Christmas tree). The Orange County Sheriff really knows how to ruin

County Route G3 in Palo Alto, Calif.05 Jul 2007 06:59 GMT1
When one thinks of Palo Alto, the first concept that comes to mind is the
neighbouring Stanford University.  Fair enough, since this university has
churned out some outstanding medical professionals.  As one can tell, this
city is rather affluent and can't accomodate all tiers of ...
MFFY Orient Express04 Jul 2007 19:56 GMT8
The Tustin Metrolink station seems to be a MFFY Magnet. The other day
I was walking through the parking lot when an oriental couple pulled
up. The wife stopped in the middle of the traffic lane, blocking it -
despite the presence of an empty parking space not 3 feet from her

NJ gov vehicle safety and tires04 Jul 2007 05:22 GMT9
The driver allegedly exceed speed limit.  Do vehicle have speed rated tires?
Hot weather and excess speed can be bad for tire.  Hope he keep them
properly inflated. I think tire should be minimum V speed rated.    ALso,
tire should have jointless nylon edge cover, and jointless ...
