Coincidentally, I drove through there southbound this bright post-
storm morning first time since it has been finished ...

The 5 southbound is completely closed a few miles north of my house;
the backup stretches for MILES. It's the first big rain of the season,
and of course everyone is smashing into everyone else. At the front of
the pileup is a jack-knifed big rig with at least one vehicle complete

Jaybird has mentioned that he works in Austin, TX in the past.  I hope

In today's Boston Herald, there's a quote from this elderly hit and run
driver.  It's a CLASSIC...
"Something big hit my car and I didn't know what it was."  No reason for not
stopping given, though.
