Yes, once again a whole shitload of morons in East Haven, CT wait in
line for hours just to get a tank full of cheap gasoline. Some of
these dorks slept in their cars overnight while they waited for the
gas station to open at 6:00 AM.

I am pretty tired of the whole gas is $4 and the sky is falling
hysteria.
I just bought a 20 oz Diet Pepsi for $1.25 from a machine at work.
That's $8 a gallon! And I'll usually drink 4 of those (sometimes more)

I'm contemplating a road trip from SoCal to Vegas this weekend.
However, I know there's been a lot of road construction on the 15; how
are the traffic conditioons these days? Anything I should watch out
for?

A few years ago I was driving across country with a friend from
Colorado.  When I mentioned that our route into the Bay Area included
Altamont Pass, he asked how high it was. When I answered that it was
about 1,000 feet (1,009 per Wikipedia) he just laughed.  "A real Pass
