Saw two CHP cruisers today. One was parked WAAAAAAAY back on an on-ramp, just past the toll booth. I saw him in my rear-view mirror after I was already past him. Fortunately I was travelling under the CHP's tolerance speed at the time.

I regularly see CHP cars in my neighborhood. ( 680 Fremont, Warm Springs exit). They come all the way up the hill on Warm Springs(~1 mile) -- a pretty isolated area.
