Cold start stepper motor - 1.6 Fiat engine30 Oct 2004 00:46 GMT4
Big starting problems . . . fine when warm / hot but a pig when cold.
Fiat dealer says stepper motor gone and wants well over £200 (GBP) on
top of the diagnostic fee to replace!  Car wouldn't fetch that price.
Anyone know what this bit is, where it is and where one might be found

Hi I have an 86 Audi 80 (1800cc) recently I changed the upper suspension
mount (and integral bearing) as I thought it was the cause of an
intermittent clunk heard when I turn the front wheels. However it was not
the fault as the sound is still there.  At the same time I replaced the ...

I?ve had power steering problems for some time, where the power
steering cuts out intermittently. I took it into the Fiat garage who

FIAT TEMPRA too high idle RPM23 Oct 2004 22:23 GMT1
I have a Tempra 1.6 I.E.cat of 1991 and went to the garage for the MoT test.
Now I have him back and idle rpm went to 1500 RPM instead of 900 RPM. There
seems to be no idle alignment.
I did disconnected my battery, but this didn't helped. Also my exhaust is

Fiat Marea climate control ??16 Oct 2004 22:20 GMT2
Apologies for the repeat query, just hoping someone can assist.
How does the temperature control work. I have two dials, one graduated
in what appears to be degrees C and the other which seems to control
the fan.  The "auto" position seems to control the fans operation in
Fiat Tipo wheels16 Oct 2004 15:17 GMT1
I have a Fiat Tipo 1.4ie L reg (1994). The problem is that the rims of the

leak. Costs ?7 each time to have 'em resealed - apart from the problem of

Head gasket changing on Cinquecento13 Oct 2004 17:58 GMT1
Is it difficult to change a head gasket on a Cinquecento? I know how to do
it on a Mini, but surely a Cinquecento is more difficult? What problems will
I encounter should I try it myself? Does anyone have a link to a description
of the proces?

Parts for X 1/911 Oct 2004 14:28 GMT2
I own an '81 Fiat X 1/9, and I was having difficulties to find some parts
that my car needs. Actually what it needs are master and slave clutch
cylinders. My garage suggested me to send those parts to be re-made
somewhere, expecting a nearly 150 euros charge, only for parts.

details of the Scudo.  We are from America where there is no Scudo.
We want to go camping and hoping that the Scudo is a good camper so to
How reliable is Fiat Barchetta?04 Oct 2004 21:21 GMT3
I am interested in buying a small roadster, either Mazda Mx-5 or Fiat
Barchetta.
Barchetta seems to be cheaper so for the same amount of money I can get 3 to
5 years newer Barchetta than a MX-5 Miata.
