97 Explorer with heat problem11 Feb 2004 12:12 GMT2
I may have the stuck blend door problem, but I don't think so.  I have manual heat, not climate control.  I am not able to get any airflow out of my airbox.  Can't get any defrost, ac, heat.  The only air that exits the system is through the center console to the rear seats.

AAA Couldn't jump start dead battery11 Feb 2004 00:40 GMT6
I must have left one of my gadgets on and the battery was completely
drained after two weeks.  The AAA guy couldn't get his truck into the
parking garage, so he used a portable unit and connected it to the
battery. All electrical worked, but the engine wouldn't turn over.
Check engine light error code 17210 Feb 2004 19:29 GMT3
On long highway trips (CA to CO and back) in my '95 Explorer V6, the check
engine light comes on at various times during the trip, but never after
reaching either destination. Within Colorado I've driven up to four hours
with elevation changes of 6000 feet, but the light never ...
Brake Life Question10 Feb 2004 18:43 GMT8
Front pads shot once again...
It appears I'm averaging 14,000 mile (approx 1 year) between front brake pad
replacements.
Is this typical? (realizing all the variables that go into this ;-))
CD player problems09 Feb 2004 15:57 GMT5
2000 Explorer with factory single CD player/radio/cassette unit:
CD plays for a while, then abruptly stops playing and the radio comes on. If I
press the eject or CD mode buttons, "CD err" shows on the display and the CD
will not eject until I turn off the ignition then back on to ...
Radial arm bushings: rubber vs poly?09 Feb 2004 13:57 GMT9
I am looking to replace the radial arm bushings on my 93 EB 4X4.  I was
wondering about using polyurethane bushings since I know they generally last
longer than rubber.  After talking to one of the mechanics at a local shop,
he said that the poly are too hard for this location and ...
2004 Ford Escape Drive Train09 Feb 2004 00:47 GMT26
I recently tested an Escape Limited with a 3 liter V-6 engine. It had a
2-position selector switch on the dash labeled as auto/4WD. The salesman was
uncertain what exactly the 'auto' mode did. Is the auto mode AWD? If so,
then why isn't the switch labeled AWD/4WD?

Best tire pressure for smooth ride and towing?08 Feb 2004 04:06 GMT3
I have a (new to me) 2000 Explorer XLS (6 cyl. SOHC). I will be using it for in
town commuting and pulling a 2500 lb. enclosed trailer on weekends. I've seen
the recommendations for running tire pressure 30 front / 35 rear as a general
guideline.
91 Explorer Inertia Switch06 Feb 2004 13:42 GMT2
I purchased said Explorer as an insurance write-off.  Minor rear end
collission.  Had it towed home and tried to start it.  Wouldn't start, no
fuel situation.  In diagnosing discovered that there is an inertia switch
that will trip in the event of a collision to shut the fuel pump ...
'91 door handles06 Feb 2004 03:49 GMT1
I have a couple of bad door exterior door handles on a '91 explorer.  Looks
like they'll require drilling to get out.
Anyone with any experience or tips?
Recorder/Garage door opener06 Feb 2004 02:31 GMT2
Can anyone tell me how to program the garage door opener that some explorers
have built into the sunvisor?
Thanks,
Larry
99 Explorer Sport06 Feb 2004 01:00 GMT2
I have a problem with my 99 Explorer Sport with AWD.  On snowy days when
driving, it started kind of bucking sometimes.  It almost seems like the
engine is cutting out or backfiring, but I can't tell if it is the engine
cutting out, or something with the transmission.  I shifted ...
