At a recent Society of Automotive Engineers conference in Washington, Ford announced the 2004 Explorer and F150 have crash data recorders on board. The recorder is part of the electronic throttle control and not part of the air bag control module as on other Ford models.

I have a 2000 Explorer XLS with Goodyear Wrangler RT/S tires. It's time to change tires, and I'm looking for something that's smoother on the road. These are rough riding at best. I do no off-roading, so just looking for a smoother road ride.

My 2002 XLT 4WD came with Bridgestone Dueler H/T P255/70/R16. They are still good after 25000 Km , but a little bit noisy. My retailer tires has just received Michelin LTX M/S P255/70/R16 .
