Rear brakes not working27 Sep 2004 07:14 GMT11
OK.  Let's try this again.  A month after replacing rear brake shoes, I
found out that only the rear parking brake works.  The master resevoir is
full and there are no leaks.  I tried to manually bleed the reear hyraulic
lines, but no fluid would come out.  What's wrong here?

OT 94 Escort problem24 Sep 2004 02:10 GMT1
Guess this is posed for resident Ford guru Jim Warman. 94 Escort 1.9, 5
speed, 140K well-maintained miles.  Going to dealer Wednesday to find out
what the "metallic chirping noise" that the engine started making is. It
changes with rpm change, thought it might be drive-belt ...

2002 Explorer with Loose Seat?23 Sep 2004 11:54 GMT3
I was wondering if anyone else had this problem.  I have a loose driver seat
that moves forward and back (about 1/8 inch) when the car moves forward.  I
looked under the seat and tried to tighten everything I could see, but still
the problem persists.  Its rather anoying.

97 Explorer switch fix23 Sep 2004 03:30 GMT1
I thought this information might help someone.  Recently the
illumination bulb in the fog light switch burned out in my '97 Explorer.
It's the small lamp assembly that screws into the side of the switch
with a quarter turn.  My Ford dealer did not have one in stock and
1991 Explorer XL: gas mileage?22 Sep 2004 20:09 GMT3
I'm continuing to research a replacement for my 1991 Explorer.  I set
out saying, "if I could buy another 1991 Explorer, new, today, I'd do
it in an instant".  Ironically I've found what's probably closest in
the 2004 Jimmy (last year for 4-door) and I'm no longer sure I want it

I've searched through the maintenance brochures for my 2001 Explorer Sport

"check the levels". However, my local dealer says that flushing the system
out should be done every 3 years (like in the good old days). ...
